DAC (Data Access Control) Schema Browser – This is probably the biggest feature of 2021 R2, really useful for developers, data mappers, implementation and data migration team and power users to understand Acumatica’s database schema, it’s relationship with other tables.
Just makes life easier and no more guessing work, something Acumatica should have delivered much earlier, nevertheless its here now in 2021 R2 version.
Microsoft Teams Integration – MS Teams is a collaboration tools from Microsoft allowing users to chat, video and call, this integration allows Acumatica users in CRM to communicate easily , a good example would be a support case management or internal/remote sales team interaction.
Multiple Base Currencies – It’s a “must-have” feature for international customers, if your working with customers who have multi-locations outside of US and want to manage those companies with multi-currency with a breeze.
Inter Company Accounting Automation (Tim Rodman’s tweet) – This improvement in inter-company accounting module allows customers with multiple companies or tenants to automate their purchase and sales process.
This feature started out in 2021 R1 and has been enhanced in 2021 R2 and will continue to add more automation in upcoming version of 2022 R1 in Mar/Apr. So stay tuned on this feature.
Workflow Engine – As we transition from Automation steps from older version to newer version with No Code/Low Code Customizations, these workflow engine is slowly emerging in all screens, it looks easy to customize though we fear a user can mess things up without deep understanding.
PDF Integration – Not a great feature but worth listing as it integrates with support case management and Adobe with pdf annotations and other features, this will require additional charges
Warehouse Automation – The pick, pack and ship module gets a new facelift and real time integration between handheld scanners and backend ERP, giving a real insight of warehouse activities of picking, packing and shipping.
Acumatica Distribution Edition 2021 R2 features improvements across all modules including ecommerce, warehouse and currency management.
