Workflow Automation Engine
New feature in workflow automation, in simple terms the automation definitions and steps feature that existed in older version will be replaced by this new workflow engine in 2020 R2 and higher.
The workflow engine introduced in 2020 R2 is limited to few screens and this engine will take shape over next 6 mths and in 2021 R1 we expect this to be available across all screens, eliminating the need for customization and users can configure the workflow of their business.
Shopify, now part of Commerce Edition
Commerce Edition
Commerce edition got another boost, with addition of Shopify shopping cart integration with Acumatica through Commerce Connector.
Using the connector framework Acumatica was able to integrate Shopify just like BIG Commerce. These connectors have the ability to Sync with ecommerce website customers, inventory, and sales orders back and forth, it also has the ability to map entities and update both ways or un-direction.

Recently Viewed Records – New feature in 2020 R2 is allowing users to see their history of activities and categorizing the visited links/screen for a quick access.
Dashboard auto-refresh – Users can control how fresh their dashboard loads their data, from few seconds to an hr, this helps in slowing down the entire dashboard KPI’s.
Generic Inquiries – An improvement in making generic inquiry easier by making suggested related tables and indexes selection to take the guess work out of the users. OData v4 – LINQ-based access to data objects
